Post-reg Foundation Programme: Part 1 (FP1)

The main focus of FP1 is on experiential learning in the workplace. This provides FP1 pharmacists with the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills and experience in four practice areas: optimising medicines use (OMU), safe and effective provision of medicines (SEPM), governance and quality improvement (GQI) and promoting public health (PPH). During their experiential learning, FP1 pharmacists will undertake practice activities (PAs) in each practice area to help them to demonstrate that they have covered the FP1 learning outcomes. See below for further information. NB when completing the recording templates, no patient-identifiable information must be included, to comply with GDPR.



Optimising medicines use (OMU) - the Clinical Induction Passport will demonstrate completion of this practice area.

Governance and quality improvement (GQI)

Promoting public health (PPH)
