The main focus of the GPPFP is on in-practice training and experiential learning in the workplace. This provides pharmacists with the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills and experience in a range of practice areas core to the role of a general practice pharmacist, namely:
During the course of the foundation programme, pharmacists will undertake practice activities to develop, demonstrate and evidence their competence in relation to the RPS Foundation Pharmacy Framework. Please see below for practice area-specific activities, the evidence required and the associated documentation.
In recording evidence to upload to a portfolio, pharmacists must ensure that the work is original and authentic. As such, pharmacists are required to sign each piece of evidence as an assurance of the originality and authenticity of their work.
