Aim

To equip pharmacists with foundational clinical skills to support effective patient assessment and informed clinical decision making in practice.

Learning outcomes

Having attended this webinar, you will be able to:
  • Demonstrate core clinical skills, including accurate measurement and interpretation of blood pressure, urine dipstick analysis, and application of the National Early Warning Score (NEWS2) to assess patient observations.
  • Take a structured and comprehensive medical history using a patient-centred approach, identifying red flags and relevant past medical information.
  • Apply clinical reasoning skills to integrate information from clinical observations and medical history to inform safe and effective decision making.
  • Recognise the pharmacist’s role in clinical assessment and how these skills contribute to wider multidisciplinary care.
