Enhanced Pharmacist Programme

Welcome to the Enhanced Pharmacist Programme, a post-registration workplace development programme designed to support pharmacists in Northern Ireland in developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for enhanced practice. The programme is aligned to the Royal College of Pharmacy's Enhanced Pharmacist Curriculum and provides a structured framework to support professional growth and development within the workplace.

To introduce the programme and its aims, a recording of the NICPLD Enhanced Pharmacist Programme Launch Webinar is available below. The webinar provides an overview of the programme, the curriculum and the support available to pharmacists and Educational Supervisors throughout their learning journey.

Applicants must be registered as a pharmacist and annotated as an Independent Prescriber (IP) with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) by the closing date. Details of the PSNI registration process for individuals who passed the June 2026 Common Registration Assessment (CRA) can be found here.

Please ensure you are logged in when accessing the site. Pharmacists enrolled on the programme and Educational Supervisors supporting participants should have access to a dedicated cohort hub containing detailed programme guidance, resources and updates. Users who are not enrolled will continue to have access to general information about Enhanced Pharmacist Programme and the curriculum.
