The core courses for pharmacists offered by NICPLD are included in the live and distance learning programmes. In addition to print-based courses, the distance learning programme includes courses and video lectures that you can study online. However you will require broadband to view the video lectures.

You can view details of all courses by clicking on the links on the right hand side of this page. You may also apply for workshops and paper-based distance learning courses via these links, in addition to entering and submitting your answers to MCQs.

This new website has two new features for workshops. Firstly, you may view and print a map showing the location of each course venue. Secondly, the course summary now has a place counter, which shows you the number of places remaining on each course. Even if the number of places available is zero, you can still apply for the workshop and be placed on the waiting list.

NICPLD provides a number of specialised training programmes for pharmacists and you must apply for these separately. These include the supplementary and independent prescribing course and the two-year vocational training programme for junior hospital pharmacists. The links on the right hand side of this page provide further information on these courses and the forms you will need to enroll on them.
