Registered pharmacists in the existing workforce will have varying degrees of experience in some, or all, of the FP1 practice areas. Where applicable, these individuals can provide a summary of their professional experience (SPE) in those practice area(s) in recognition of their prior learning (RPL).
There are two RPL pathways:
Pharmacists who believe they can demonstrate that they have already fully covered the FP1 learning outcomes and practice activities can submit a full SPE together with an SPE submission form (which must be signed by your line manager). NICPLD will accept SPE submissions throughout the year.
Pharmacists who believe they can demonstrate that they have already partially covered the FP1 learning outcomes and practice activities can write an SPE in the relevant practice area(s). These pharmacists must enrol onto FP1, and can upload and use their SPE(s) as a piece or pieces of evidence in their FP1 portfolio
Templates for these SPE’s along with the submission form can be downloaded here.
