New eWorkshop: Preventing skin cancer

7 May 2020

Like all training providers, our live programme was suspended in mid-March in-line with the COVID-19 lockdown. While NICPLD has a considerable elearning portfolio, we wanted to explore ways in which workshops can be delivered remotely.

One way is to use eWorkshops, the first of which is Preventing Skin Cancer, which was the subject of our regional programme.

18 March 2020

Dear colleagues

NICPLD has cancelled all live workshops and regional programmes from April to June 2020, in line with QUB COVID-19 recommendations. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates in relation to the delivery of our programmes.

Workforce development programme, such as Foundation and Independent Prescribing, have also been postponed and we will contact pharmacists on these programmes in due course with information about rescheduling training and assessments.

If you have any further queries, please contact our office via email – nicpld@qub.ac.uk.

Update on NICPLD workshops/regional programmes relating to coronavirus

13 March 2020

As an organisation, we recognise that this is an anxious time and that many are worried about the coronavirus pandemic. The health and well-being of pharmacists, pharmacy staff and the wider community is our priority and subsequently we have decided to postpone all live workshops and regional programmes scheduled to take place between now and Easter (13th March - 9th April). We will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates in relation to the delivery of our live programme.

We are working to ensure that workforce development programmes (including Independent Prescribing and Foundation Programmes) can be delivered and individuals registered on these programmes will be emailed with further details.

If you have any further queries, please contact our office via email – nicpld@qub.ac.uk .

Kind regards

The NICPLD Team
