Aim
To provide participants with the knowledge required to provide a comprehensive medicines management service to patients with heart failure.

Intended learning outcomes
Having completed this workshop you should be able to:

• identify the risk factors associated with heart failure
• recognise the symptoms associated with the condition
• describe best practice guidance in relation to the pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of patients with heart failure
• appreciate the palliative care needs of patients with end-stage heart failure
• highlight the pharmacists' role in the management of patients with heart failure.
