Aim
To enable participants to implement the Health + model of public health and deliver this service through their pharmacy.

Intended learning outcomes
Learning outcomes for the two evenings:

• Describe the role and ethos of a Health + pharmacy
• Recognise how Health + fits into the wider Health Service agenda
• Understand factors contributing to health inequalities
• Effectively engage with your community
• Implement the aspects of leadership to make the service effective within your community
• Identify the communication messages that are effective in communicating health messages
• Outline how individuals can be effectively motivated to change their behaviour.

For whom
Pharmacists and well-being advisors working in community pharmacies seeking to become accredited Health + pharmacies.

Additional information
A pharmacist and a well-being advisor from each community pharmacy are expected to attend both days of the Health + training. Well-being advisors can register to attend the two-day programme at www.medicinesni.com.
