Aim
By the development of appropriate knowledge and skills, to equip community pharmacists to support individuals receiving treatment for cancer.

Intended learning outcomes
Having completed this workshop you should be able to:

• understand how cancers are diagnosed and staged
• appreciate the range of treatments available and their appropriateness for particular patient groups
• highlight the general side-effects associated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy
• develop strategies to manage or minimise such side-effects in practice
• provide appropriate support and advice to people living with cancer and its management.
