Aim
To equip individuals to become more effective community pharmacy practitioners whilst considering the career development opportunities available to them.

Intended learning outcomes
Having completed this workshop you will be able to:

• Understand the changing nature of the health service
• Recognise threats to the traditional role of the community pharmacist and the opportunities available
• Position yourself to remain relevant within this shifting health service
• Appreciate the behaviours, competences, values and skills required of a practicing community pharmacist
• Describe how the Community Foundation Programme can support your career development.

For whom
Early-career community pharmacists or Pre-registration pharmacists anticipating registering in summer 2018 who are intending to pursue a career in community pharmacy and who wish to explore the career development opportunities available to them.
