Aim
To support FP Educational Supervisors to deliver effective workplace mentorship.

Intended learning outcomes
At the end of this evening you should be able to:

• describe the roles of the FP Educational Supervisor (mentor), Practice Supervisor (trainer) and Education co-ordinator;
• use appropriate mentorship skills including questioning techniques, provision of constructive feedback and evaluation of reflective practice;
• discuss different methods of supporting and encouraging mentees; and
• apply a range of approaches to manage challenging mentorship scenarios (the tutors welcome any challenging scenarios from participants, either in advance or on the night).
