Aim
To equip pharmacists to effectively respond to symptoms and patient requests for OTC medication within the community pharmacy setting.

Intended learning outcomes
Having completed this workshop you should be able to:

• respond appropriately to a patient presenting with symptoms/queries
• understand the importance of an evidence-based approach underpinning all advice provided
• source up-to-date and relevant information
• review recent changes in the OTC market to ensure competent supply of available products
