Aim
By the development of the appropriate knowledge and skills, equip pharmacists to work competently alongside other healthcare professionals to provide high quality care to individuals at the end of life.

Intended learning outcomes
Having completed this workshop you should be able to:

• recognise the signs and symptoms that suggest a person is entering the last weeks of life
• understand the specific end of life needs of patients
• effectively manage the symptoms experienced by these patients
• support the use of subcutaneous medicines via a syringe driver
• convert opioid doses
• provide support and reassurance to family and carers, signposting to other services accordingly

This two-night regional course is ‘open access’ which means that pharmacists need not apply to attend but simply turn up at the venue on the given date. Please note the start time of 7.30pm
