Aim
To develop pharmacists' knowledge and skills relating to the MUR service with a view to enhancing their delivery of MURs within professional practice.

Intended learning outcomes
Having completed this workshop you should be able to:

• using effective communication skills and questioning techniques, establish the patient's knowledge, adherence and use of their medicines
• identify the therapeutic issues to be addressed relating to patient safety and clinical and cost-effectiveness
• reach a shared agreement with patients and make appropriate referrals to GPs, prioritising the recommendations made
• apply a systematic approach to review patient's medication
• complete all documentation accurately and in sufficient detail
• undertake MURs more effectively within an appropriate workplace setting.

Additional information
This two-night regional course is 'open access' which means that pharmacists need not apply to attend but simply turn up at the venue on the given date. PLEASE NOTE THE START TIME OF 7.30PM.
