Aim
This course examines the management of coughs, sore throats and the common cold under the Minor Ailments Service.

Intended learning outcomes
Having completed this course you should understand:

• The background to the Minor Ailments Service in Northern Ireland;
• The questions to ask a person presenting with a cough, or a sore throat, or a "cold";
• Appropriate use of medicines which can be supplied through the Minor Ailments Service for these conditions.
