Aim
This course aims to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the causes and treatment of dermatological problems and to enable you to improve the service you offer to such patients in co-operation with other healthcare professionals.
Intended learning outcomes

- understand the impact of skin disease on the patient and provide appropriate pharmaceutical care
- describe the structure and function of the skin
- state the prevalence, pathogenesis and types of eczema
- be aware of the features and treatment of acne and rosacea
- discuss the common conditions affecting the scalp and hair
- list the most common skin infections and infestations
- describe the features and treatment of psoriasis and papulosquamous disorders
- understand dermatological manifestations of systemic disease
- detail the priciples of dermatological treatment
